Two, Too Cute Flower Girls? Just Roll With It!

July 13, 2007

Bridesmaid

When Katie was planning her Dawsonville, Ga., wedding, instead of picking one of her nieces to be the flower girl, she asked both of them to share the duties! "Of course, they looked like angels," Katie says of the girls, age 1 and 3 at the time of her September 23, 2006 nuptials. But looking like angels and acting like them are two different things. "I just knew they were going to do something," says Katie. "While my now-husband and I were lighting the unity candle, they decided to roll [on] the floor right in front of us. It was the cutest thing, and it will always be a memory I have of my wedding."

What a trooper! As Melbourne, Fla., bride Monica writes in, her cousin, Samuel Alexander, was a bit, um, nervous, before carrying her rings down the aisle. "Minutes before the wedding, he started crying because he didn't wanted to walk down the aisle with the rings!" she says. "After a while he pulled it together and ended up walking down the aisle with his father, [who] wasn't a part of the wedding party." And once he started walking down the aisle, little Samuel Alexander was the hit of the wedding! "He stole all the attention walking down the aisle. He was doing great with pictures, he was enjoying every minute of it. He loved all the attention. Everyone thought he was too cute," says Monica, adding, "He is too cute!"
