"I awoke on my wedding day to a huge downpour and flash floods," says Alison, whose Kent Island, Md., wedding reception soon felt like it was held at a water park. "Although we had a tent for the outside reception, there had been so much rain that spring that all the rain that water actually came up from the ground!" Luckily, her guests sprang to action: "One of my bridesmaid's mom and the minister's wife bought about 150 pairs of flip flops. Although the rain had stopped by the reception, the only dry ground was the dance floor. Mud was up to everyone's knees (including my wedding dress), but everyone danced and had a great time."
