They Were Escorted By Lounge Singers
April 29, 2007
Ah, the '70s. When disco reigned, love was free and brides dressed their wedding party in pajamas. "I found this picture of my mother's wedding," writes Theresa from Rochester of the tiny blue flowers and tiny bows that overwhelmed her mother's friends at her 1975 Rochester wedding. But even more impressive? That the best man was apparently Tony Clifton!

The dresses are hideous -- but the blue carnations just compound the problem. they look like little girls playing wedding in their nightgowns.

Wow, this reminds me of a strawberry shortcake nightgown I had when I was little. It had the little bows and puffy sleeves identical to this. I loved it....but I was only 5 and it was appropriate for me at that age.......but not for a wedding! When looking at his picture for the first time it looks like the lady standing next to the gentleman has a neck brace on! Honestly if the picture didn't have the full grown man standing beside them I would have thought these were children!

ok, you are right, this is bad, but when I was growing up in the 70's, I have to admit I may have liked this style.
